David Martin, P.E.
President
Dave is the principle owner of Trace Environmental.
He is responsible for operational, financial and the human
resources management of the company.
Mr. Martin has extensive experience in data acquisition and
Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems.
With over 15 years of experience, he has implemented a wide
range of projects of varying scopes and complexities.
He is a graduate of Lehigh University, BS Chemical
Engineering, and The Johns Hopkins University, Masters Environmental
Engineering.
During his time away from work, Dave
enjoys the outdoors, hunting, skiing, playing soccer and enjoying
time with his wife and four kids.
Charles “Buck” Franke (1956-2017)
Founder
Buck was one of the key members and founders of Trace Environmental. His keen intelligence and ability to build solutions for complex problems was an integral part in the early success of Trace, its products and solutions. His impact will be felt for years to come thru the continued use of his baby, the DAS2000 data acquisition software.

Manager
Jim has been with Trace since our inception in 1995 and currently heads up the sales and marketing efforts for Trace Environmental. Jim’s efforts focus on securing new business and developing new markets while also supporting the needs of Trace’s existing client base.
Since 1985, Jim has been involved with engineered solution sales such as process control instrumentation and control systems as well as with the environmental monitoring and reporting systems that Trace offers.
His time away from Trace is spent with his wife and three young children, being involved in community improvement projects and organizations, and playing golf.
Kevin Sullivan
DAS Support Manager
Kevin has been at Trace since 2006. He is the DAS Support Manager specializing in setting up the DAS 2000
Configuration/Reporting software and managing our PEMS Projects.
He has BSME from University of Rhode Island and has 15 years
experience with CEMS DAS software and reporting regulations.
He has extensive knowledge of all the major EPA regulations
including: Part 75 Acid Rain Program, NOx Budget Program, 40 CFR
Parts 60, 63 and 503. He was involved with the recent software
upgrades required for the P75 (XML) ECMPS and PADEP EDR (CSMM Rev.
8) reporting revision. In addition, he is Trace’s resident surfer boy and is
an ardent fan of all of the Philadelphia sports teams, especially
the Eagles, Flyers and 2008 World Series Champions Phillies.
Charles Dick
Senior Project
Manager
Charles Dick has over 40 years in computer systems engineering, with an emphasis in real time controls and communications. Charles co-authored a patent for communications over multiple, dissimilar wireless transmission methods (Method and apparatus for routing data over multiple wireless networks, ref EP1334587A1, US20060203804, WO200219636A1) He has over 12 years specifically in CEM systems, with the last six years being with Trace Environmental System, Inc., performing produce design, system design and project management. Charles has been instrumental in interpreting EPA regulations in order to determine project applicability. And he has a strong ability to break them down into understandable terms. His degree is in Computer Science with a minor in Electronics. Charles started his career at UNIVAC (1974) and has provided consulting/design services to companies such as E.I. DuPont, Honeywell, Betz Laboratories, Spitz Space Systems and more.
John Vincent
Project Manager, Draftsman &
Technical Manual Writer
John Graduated from La Salle University in 2008 with a B.A. in Mathematics. He began working for Trace in September 2010 creating drawings and assembling Equipment Manuals specfic to each customer's product and site.
Frank Pearson
DAS Support Specialist
Frank is the DAS support person who assists customers with
configurations, reporting and PC issues. He is also a
programmer responsible for writing code for our Data Explorer
and Automatic Report Agent products. In addition,
Frank is our EDR and PADEP expert. He also makes the
coffee at the Trace NJ office!
David Strain
Air Quality Systems Engineer
With over 25 years in IT, David was the NY Metro Area PC/LAN Manager at TD Bank prior to joining Trace. His responsibilities at Trace involve all aspects of the technology side of the Emissions Monitoring industry in addition to managing some of the local projects. David serves as Trace's sole in-house PC/LAN/Telecomm consultant for all Trace personnel as well as many of our clients.

Service Manager
Over 20 years servicing and maintaining electronic equipment with a wide range of experience from building Gulfstream jets to servicing CEM’s analyzers. A former soldier of the US military, where he repaired Apache, OH-58, and Blackhawk helicopters. His accomplishments include several military and industrial industry awards. As Service Manager , he strives in improving the customer’s experience. In his spare time he enjoys refurbishing and modifying cars.
Joe Munson
Field Service Technician
Joe has been working as a Field Service Technician for Trace Environmental Systems since 2006. His responsibilities include scheduling and performing quarterly audits and preventative maintenance for many different ethanol plants throughout the Midwest. He also takes care of any emergency service issues.
Before working for Trace, Joe was an electronics technician for Munson Mechanical. He was in the Touchplay division and provided service and install assistance for video lottery machines all around Iowa.
Joe Wolfe
Field Service Technician
After 4 years behind a desk for Konica Minolta in PCs and networking, Joe decided a desk wasn’t for him. He returned to the trades and service industries, where he had worked for 20 years, starting with Trace in June 2005. He now uses both his computer and trade skills to support Trace’s growing client base. He holds Novell and Microsoft certifications and was licensed in NJ for boiler, water and wastewater treatment. As of 2009, Joe moved to Nebraska to enhance Trace's commitment to clients in the Midwest. In his spare time Joe works on small projects in his shop and rides his Harley around the Midwest looking for this country’s history and oddities.
Ted Webb
Field Service Technician
Ted is based in Iowa and comes to Trace with years of valuable experience in the stack monitoring industry. He has been in the field working with CEM Systems and has provided numerous stack tests and RATA certifications over the years. Additionally, Ted has worked extensively in the Ethanol Industry and has worked with Trace CEMS and Software for many years. Before joining Trace, Ted spent 13 years with Comprehensive Emission Services as a Project Manager and 8 years with Nationwide Electronics as a Xerox Installation Tech. In his spare time Ted enjoys traveling and antiquing with his wife and going hunting, fishing, and golfing.

Rafael Rodriguez
Mechanical Fabricator
Prior to coming to Trace, Rafael worked for 26 years in molding Technology. His focus at Trace is the mechanical fabrication of CEMS and CEMS FLOW 500 stack monitoring systems. He enjoys performing the mechanical work, modifying and fabricating to ensure customer satisfaction.

Bob Moser
Sales
Bob Moser has been working for trace since 2000 out of our Orlando Florida office. His primary responsibilities are to identify potential new project and support opportunities plus to maintain and build the sales database with up to date client & project information. Prior to working for Trace he owned a small IT business in the suburbs of Philadelphia. When he's not working he enjoys spending time with his teenage son playing tennis and going to the Florida beaches. In the winter months he enjoys heading north to do some snow skiing.
